Tourny Report for Saturday March 8th 2009

You what up my People! so I just had a tourny this saturday. I took a fun anti meta deck I really enjoy, its basically a earth rock stun deck. I run the dd warriors, assaliants, and lady, and the ko kai merui guardian or whateva, and then just control my oppoent with monsters and traps, with some spells for support. I ended up Second For the Day Check out how my day when.

Match 1 Me vs. Dark Yubel Deck

Game 1 - I basically control him to no cards, and just attack him with my high attack monsters, easy first win.

Game 2 - I had a little harder time wit this one, He got his Yubel incarnate, and nightmare out on me, but after a couple well played book of moons, I got them off the field, and took the game back into my control, and with only 300 life points left, won the second game as well lol. WIN


Match 2 Me vs. Blackwings

Game 1 - I did a good job controlling him, and after a few turns bated him, without every expecting it, a nice morphing Jar, and took a nice 3-4 card advantage on him, then I just slowly made him use his cards, and combat him down to nothing, to win the game.

Game 2 - I basically did the same thing as Game 1 but I slowly got rid of all his monsters. Let me tell you Bottomless works great against black whirlwind combo'd with shura, and sirrocco lol, never was able to really get whirlwind off unless he used Kalut haha, so I just got rid of all his monsters, and removed them all until it was open field and just beat him down with DD warriors, and Rats for game. Match 3 Me vs. Rescue CAT(I hate playing against this Explosive DECK!) haha

Game 1 - This game started off really slow I was really afraid of a fast cold wave double dark strike for game, or a dark strike, arcanite combo, so I was unsure how this would play out. The Cat player ended up not drawing to well, and stalled me a few turns with a couple face down guards, and des koala, but I ended up getting some nice smashing ground, and fissures off, along with some dd warriors and lady to open up the field and attack a few turns for game.

Game 2 - This was also another scary one for me, I drew some early solemns and set them. I thought I was safe with those solemns but he ended doing just what I did not want him to do, opening with cold wave, and trunade. I had to solemn both, I was just to afraid of losing my well established field to a couple of arcanites, and DSF. I got really low because of the Solemns, and he ended up stalling me with a couple guards again, He then got another koala down and I had to use my meiru guardian to negate the flip for burn or I would have died. He then used pot of avarice, and tossed the koala back in the deck, and a few turns later, before I could clear the field and hit for game, he set the koala and it flipped KILLING ME!! I lost to a DES KOALA!! NO haha, nothing I could do about, nearly pulled out the victory but no go.

Game 3 - This game went more smoothly for me, he never was able to get a good cold wave off, or trunade, or heavy for that matter, and I just owned and controlled him with oppression and taked a few turns for game. I WIN MATCH 3



Match 4 Championship Round ME vs. ZEPJOKER(Lightsworn Like Usual)

Game 1 - I draw very bad, getting all my spell and trap destruction in my first draw, when that happens against lightsworn, you might as well be just 2 or 3 cards down from the start of the game. He ends up getting a well established field of monsters like Lightsworn usually do, and evenually kills me for Game. I lose game 1

Game 2 - This Game almost goes just as poorly for me, not because of my draws but because of snipe hunter. I sided in snipe to hopefully get those dang royal decrees out of the way, that I knew he would draw into. the Game is going sumwhat even at the start, until I decided to summon snipe hunter and immediately MISS! Sigh...when this happens I honestly always almost feel like scooping, I instanly go -1, and I am never able to recover, and lose the match. Oh Well, at least I lost to lightsworn, and take Second place for some nice credit! Later guys until next time. peace!

Saturday Local Tourny

So I went to my local tourny saturday, and I was doing really good. I took Little City with me. I have always loved that deck, and to be honest, I dont usually lose with it. I am actually not sure why I dont see more little city decks out there, its my favorite anti-meta deck in existence. Its just so Good! Look for my next deck of the month to be little city, and ill explain more why I love it.

Round 1 me vs. Macro remove deck
Game 1. I basically just own him with skill drain and beat him down turn by turn. I win

Game 2. I was starting to get put on the ropes from D. D. survivor constantly coming back, and me having no way to get rid of it, but I happen to top deck a e-call to get my stratos and cpt. gold, to get sky scrappers, and then just run over all his monsters and beat him down each turn. I win

Round 2 - me vs. Lightsworn

Game 1: He won the dice roll and started off with a milled wulf, and lumina/garoth combo, and then milled another wulf in the end phase, that basically struck the end for me. I was unable to get over all those mosters, and I end up losing it, just unlucky, for me that is haha. I lose

Game 2: I get a good start and then just owned him with honest, and skill drain. He could do nothing but just wait until he lost. I win

game 3: I own him again with multiple honest drops. He thought he would be cleaver putting in some royal decree's but I just owned him with breaker, and snipe hunter. He could do nothing but wait and lose again. I win

Round 3 - Me vs. Pozjoker(lightsworn)

Game 1- I started of strong with nice field presence and a early skill drain, made all his monsters usuless, and he could not get over my high attack 4 star monsters. The second Half of the Duel I get greedy and want to start to kill him already, and over extend without paying closer attention to my own field, and thinking about what he may have to stop me. So I over extend by reborn'ing a monster, and then normal my Honest, BAD MOVE, and then try to push for game, but he drops Gorz! I was then unable to bring my Honest back to my hand cuz of skill drain, and then lose my field next turn, and end up losing the game. I lose to bad mis plays! I was gonna win easy to. DONT GET GREEDY haha! I should have just attacked and played it safe, oh well.

Game 2 - I basically control his field and hand, with oppression, and and thunder king, and he has no way to get over thunderking with Honest backing him up and my back fields. I end up winning this one pretty easy. THUNDER KING FOR THE WIN haha.

Game 3: The whole duel I am just controlling him with skill drain and oppression, but like the first duel I have card advantage on him like 5 to 2, but then I commit to much to my field again, and lose it to him top decking TWO JDs!!! GAY!! so I lose, and so poz takes the victory over my miss-plays, freaking sucks man, I hate to miss play!! And its like I get to greedy and just make bad plays, need to take every turn seriously lol. later guys!
